Major drug operation in Istanbul: Over 800 kilograms seized!
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that a successful operation in Istanbul resulted in the seizure of a total of 801.5 kilograms of "methamphetamine" and the detention of 2 suspects linked to the drugs.
A drug operation was carried out in Istanbul's Arnavutköy district.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated in a post on his social media account that the operation was conducted under the instructions of the Gaziosmanpaşa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, coordinated by the General Directorate of Security's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Department, and carried out on the ground by teams from the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch.
Yerlikaya noted that the operation took place in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, where a total of 773 kilograms of liquid methamphetamine in 29 separate parts and 28.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were seized, and 2 "drug dealers" linked to the incident were apprehended.
