Major omnibus bill proposal from AKP: 'New tax regulation for fuel and LPG'

The AKP is preparing to submit a new omnibus bill to the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) that includes critical provisions to prevent tax losses in the fuel and LPG markets, as well as regulations concerning the General Directorate of Security and the Press Advertisement Agency.

Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputies, led by Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, have completed their work on the new omnibus bill. The bill, which has been shaped in line with several previous annulment decisions by the Constitutional Court (AYM) and contains wide-ranging regulations, is expected to be submitted to the Speaker of the TBMM tomorrow.

''STRICT MONITORING OF FUEL AND LPG MARKETS: TAX LOSSES TO BE PREVENTED''

One of the most critical aspects of the omnibus bill concerning economic management involves tax regulations. New steps will be taken to increase the security of tax collection in energy markets, primarily fuel and LPG, and to prevent "tax losses" resulting from illicit or unregistered transactions. Additionally, registration and recording periods for bulk vehicle sales will be extended.

''A NEW ERA IN THE GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF SECURITY''

The bill to be submitted to Parliament also introduces a significant change in the security bureaucracy. Health requirements for candidates applying to educational institutions under the General Directorate of Security (POMEM, PMYO, PAEM) will be reorganized according to current conditions and legal frameworks.

''PRESS ADVERTISEMENT AGENCY STRUCTURE BEING RESHAPED''

Taking into account the Constitutional Court's annulment decisions, AKP officials are also proposing fundamental changes to the Law on the Organization of the Press Advertisement Agency. With the new regulation, audits for newspapers, magazines, and online news sites that receive official advertisements, as well as the conditions for advertisement distribution and procedures regarding press and publication principles, will be legally redefined.
