Major operation against arms smugglers across Turkey: Over 2,000 suspects processed
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 2,310 suspects have been processed as part of the 'Mercek-26' operations conducted against arms smugglers.
The 'Mercek-26' operation was carried out across Turkey targeting arms smugglers and individuals carrying unlicensed weapons.
As a result of the operation, a total of 2,511 weapons were seized, including 1,271 unlicensed pistols, 534 pistols converted from blank-firing guns, 43 long-barreled rifles, and 663 unlicensed hunting rifles.
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 2,310 suspects were processed within the scope of the operation.
