In the Akhisar district of Manisa, a man named Yılmaz Akman caused great horror by committing violence against Sude Naz A., with whom he lived, in the middle of the street. The incident was watched by many people in the vicinity, and the fact that no one intervened drew significant backlash. Akman struck Sude Naz A. with a metal brush he held and assaulted the woman for minutes.

THE CALL FOR HELP WAS IGNORED

Despite the woman's cries for help during the incident, shouting "I am pregnant, help me!", no one from the surrounding crowd intervened for a long time. Another man standing next to Akman watched the violence while laughing. Sude Naz A.'s young child was also forced to watch this violence inflicted upon their mother.

AN ELDERLY MAN INTERVENED

An elderly man who witnessed the violence finally intervened in the situation. Following this brave step, other men in the area also took action and tried to stop Yılmaz Akman.

Following the incident, Sude Naz A. recounted what she had experienced. Sude Naz A. stated, "More than the incident that happened in front of my son's eyes, I was saddened by what my child went through. I knew Yılmaz had alcohol and substance addiction, so I left him. He didn't want me to return home that day, so I went to the market and I hadn't realized he was following me."

Sude Naz A. stated that she became pregnant at the age of 16 and did not want a formal marriage. She also expressed that she is currently 5.5 weeks pregnant and is considering terminating the pregnancy.

RELEASE DECISION DREW BACKLASH 

Following this incident, a lawsuit was filed against Yılmaz Akman for the crimes of "intentional injury" and "public insult". The court sentenced Akman to 9 months in prison for the crime of insult and 15 months for intentional injury. However, Akman, having served his sentence, was released.

WAS SUBJECTED TO ABUSE AS A CHILD

It has also emerged that Sude Naz A. was previously subjected to abuse as a child.
