Manifest founder Tolga Akış tests negative for drugs

The drug test results for Tolga Akış, the founder and manager of the Manifest group, who is under investigation for allegations of obscenity, drug use, and money laundering, have been finalized.

As part of the investigation, blood, urine, and hair samples taken from Akış were examined at the Council of Forensic Medicine. The report stated that the drug test came back negative.

In the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Akış was detained on August 27 and arrested by the court on August 28. It was stated that after the prosecutor's proceedings, Akış was referred to the court with a request for arrest on the charge of "mediating the publication of obscene content."

It was reported that in his statement to the prosecutor, Akış also provided explanations regarding money transfers to his bank accounts from abroad. It was learned that Akış stated these payments came from YouTube and other music services, and that he did not use his accounts to launder proceeds of crime.

Regarding the allegations brought up in the file, it was noted that Akış argued that the social media posts by Mesut Adlin, whom he stated he had previously worked with as a photographer on his projects, did not reflect the truth. It was stated that Akış claimed some of the correspondence was made for humorous purposes and was published without showing the entire conversation.

Responding to the allegations regarding the members of Manifest, it was reported that Akış said 60 percent of the earnings were distributed equally among the group members, while the remaining 40 percent was used by the company for project expenses. It was stated that Akış denied the allegations that members were forbidden from meeting with other people and were pressured to perform on stage when they were ill.
