March 18 message from MHP leader Bahçeli: They will not be able to pass Turkey
MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli released a message on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the March 18 Martyrs' Remembrance Day and the Çanakkale Victory.
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stated, "Those who could not pass through Çanakkale 110 years ago will never be able to pass through Turkey for all eternity. Just as our noble ancestors, regardless of their origin, sect, creed, or hometown, gathered under the Turkish flag and preserved our rights and gains stemming from being a nation with courage and wisdom in the depths of history, I wholeheartedly believe that the same can be repeated today."
The message, shared via the MHP's social media account, included the following: "Those who could not pass through Çanakkale 110 years ago will never be able to pass through Turkey for all eternity. Just as our noble ancestors, regardless of their origin, sect, creed, or hometown, gathered under the Turkish flag and preserved our rights and gains stemming from being a nation with courage and wisdom in the depths of history, I wholeheartedly believe that the same can be repeated today.
The Turkish nation, without falling into the traps of division, fragmentation, and differentiation, and by realizing the games being played, will embrace the magnificent struggles of the past and will certainly draw inspiration from them.
I celebrate the anniversary of the March 18 Çanakkale Victory with a proud conscience, and I pray for God's mercy upon our heroic martyrs and our brave soldiers, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the front commanders who entrusted this victory to us, and I commemorate them all with feelings of gratitude and appreciation."
