Mask warning for Istanbul on Sunday! Desert dust and downpours are on the way

Experts emphasized the importance of wearing masks for those with pollen allergies during the spring season. Weather assessments indicate that pollen in the air could cause reactions in many people with allergies. Furthermore, it was reported that intense desert dust will enter the Marmara, Aegean, and Central Anatolia regions, including Istanbul, next week.

Short-term downpours are expected to be effective in the vicinities of Çorum, Kastamonu, Sinop, Erzurum, Kars, and Ardahan. On Sunday, following extreme heat, thunderstorms will be seen in the northern parts of the Marmara and Aegean regions.

Istanbul will start the new week with rain. Intermittent rainfall will continue to be effective across the city throughout the coming week, and temperatures will drop to the May average.
