Massive crowd at CHP's Kadıköy rally
As the rallies initiated by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel following the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu continue at full speed, tensions in the political climate are causing each subsequent rally to be significantly more crowded.
The latest stop in the long-running "Defending the National Will" rallies was Kadıköy. It was observed that citizens showed intense interest in the rally, which took place while tensions within the CHP regarding Gürsel Tekin and the appointment of trustees continued.
Citizens, who filled the rally area with their slogans, made an effort to make their voices heard.
When the images of the crowd gathered to listen to CHP Chairman Özel were broadcast, the massive crowd filling the rally area in Kadıköy was revealed.
The fact that citizens are embracing these rallies with increasing participation each time has been interpreted as a reaction to the ongoing economic crisis and political tensions.
