Media Ombudsman Faruk Bildirici files complaint over 'fake membership'
Faruk Bildirici has applied to the Ombudsman Institution after receiving no response to his complaints regarding being registered as a member of the AKP without his knowledge. Bildirici also filed a complaint against the Office of the Supreme Court Chief Public Prosecutor for failing to take measures against fake memberships.
Media Ombudsman Faruk Bildirici has taken a new step after stating that he was registered as a member of the AKP without his knowledge and that he had received no results from the criminal complaints he filed regarding this fake membership. Bildirici filed a complaint with the Ombudsman Institution against the Office of the Supreme Court Chief Public Prosecutor for failing to take any structural measures to prevent fake memberships.
In his application to the Ombudsman Institution, Bildirici pointed out that registering citizens to political parties without their knowledge is a serious democratic problem, emphasizing that there is both a systemic deficiency and institutional indifference regarding this issue.
"MY CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS REMAINED UNANSWERED"
Faruk Bildirici stated that in addition to the criminal complaint he previously filed with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the fake membership, his applications made through various other channels also remained unanswered.
“After receiving no response to my criminal complaint and applications regarding being registered as a member of the AKP without my knowledge, I made a new attempt. I filed a complaint with the Ombudsman against the Office of the Supreme Court Chief Public Prosecutor for failing to take measures to prevent fake memberships, failing to investigate the causes of fake memberships, and failing to add a button to e-Devlet for membership cancellation.”
