Famous showman Mehmet Ali Erbil, who faces up to 3 years in prison in an investigation into illegal betting and promotion, has now drawn attention with his remarks regarding the high cost of living.

Spotted at a shopping mall, the famous showman pointed out that a jacket cost 60,000 TL and said, "Turkey is burning! How am I supposed to buy this with my pension? A jacket is 60,000 TL. I'd rather walk around naked," he stated.

Mehmet Ali Erbil was recently taken into custody along with many other suspects, including Serdar Ortaç. Erbil and Ortaç were initially placed under house arrest, but this decision was lifted following an application by Erbil's lawyers. The court ruled that Erbil must sign in every week.
