Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, whose resignation is expected following the fire tragedy, reportedly said, 'My turn won't come until he goes!'

Seventy-eight citizens lost their lives in the fire that broke out at the Grand Kartal Hotel in the Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Center. Following the tragedy, a dispute over jurisdiction began between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the CHP-run Bolu Municipality.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy also faced criticism from within the AKP. A striking claim has been made regarding Ersoy, whose resignation is being demanded by the public.
