Gökçek targeted the allegations concerning his tenure as General Manager of the Child Protection Agency with the following words:
“A deliberate smear campaign has been launched on social media regarding the period when I served as General Manager of the Child Protection Agency... I have a message here for those who started this slander...
Even political struggle has honor and dignity; you have neither dignity nor honor...
You wretches without dignity, you honorless slanderers fed in the sewer of social media! Does your sold soul not ache at all while slandering my clean past? Whose dogs are you, and which factions are you acting as hitmen for?
If I don't drag you through the courts like dogs and make you beg, then don't call me Melih Gökçek. You undignified men!
If there is a single document for this disgusting slander you have spread, whoever does not bring it is a coward, a lowlife, and dishonorable!”
