Melih Gökçek's son and daughter-in-law summoned to testify
Former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek had previously provided testimony as part of an investigation launched against him. Following Gökçek, his son and daughter-in-law have also been summoned to testify.
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that following former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek, Ahmet Gökçek and Hülya Gökçek will also have their statements taken as part of the investigation.
In the statement made by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated: "Within the scope of the investigation being conducted by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the statement of former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İbrahim Melih Gökçek has been taken in his capacity as a suspect, and as part of the investigation, Ahmet Gökçek and Hülya Gökçek will be present at our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on Monday, September 7, at 14:00 to have their statements taken in their capacity as suspects."
