Melis Sezen reveals her monthly income in statement after being detained in drug investigation

Actress Melis Sezen, known to a wide audience for her role in the TV series Sadakatsiz, was detained as part of a drug investigation.

The statement given by Sezen, who was released after testifying to the police, has emerged as part of the investigation.

The actress argued that the tip-off against her did not reflect the truth, stating that she does not use drugs and does not approve of the use of such substances.

It was also noted in Sezen's statement that she declared her monthly income to be 400 thousand TL.

STATED SHE HAS NO DRUG CONNECTIONS

In this part of her statement, Sezen indicated that she did not have contact with people known to sell drugs or stimulants, did not procure drugs through anyone, and did not carry out any money transfers. Stating that she does not have a nightlife and does not attend such events except for invitations outside of work, Sezen said:

"I have not had contact with anyone known to sell drugs or stimulants. I did not use anyone as an intermediary, and I did not transfer money to anyone. I am someone who does not have a nightlife outside of work-related invitations; therefore, I do not organize parties or similar events.

I do not use drugs, and my nightlife is almost non-existent; therefore, I am not someone who would be invited to such environments, or who would attend them even if invited. Consequently, there is no situation I have witnessed."

"THE TIP-OFF IS COMPLETELY BASELESS"

Denying the tip-off regarding her drug use and offering drugs to others, Sezen said that she has never used drugs in her life and has never given drugs to anyone. Arguing that there is no concrete evidence supporting the allegations against her, Sezen stated that she is ready to undergo the necessary tests.

Sezen's statement on this matter is as follows:

"I have never used drugs in my life. I have never offered drugs to anyone. This tip-off is completely baseless; there is no concrete evidence based on the tip-off against me. I am ready to provide all kinds of blood/hair samples; I am as sure as I can be that my test will come back negative.

The content of the tip-off claiming that I both use and offer drugs is completely empty; it is impossible for there to be any data regarding when, to whom, or how I offered them, or where I used drugs, because I have not used or offered drugs."

EXPLAINED THAT SHE LIVES WITH HER FAMILY

Stating that she lives with her family and spends most of her time at home or on set, Sezen said that her family has no connection to drugs and expressed that the tip-off against her was intended to damage her reputation.

In the final part of her statement, Sezen stated that she did not commit any crime that would require her to benefit from effective remorse provisions and that she did not make a request in this context:

"I am someone who lives with my family and has a family life; I am either at home or on set filming at work. We have a family with strong family ties. I have lived with my mother and sibling for many years.

Making such a tip-off about someone who has absolutely no connection to drugs was done entirely for the purpose of character assassination.

Since I have not committed a crime that would benefit from effective remorse provisions, I do not wish to benefit from the scope of effective remorse provisions.”
