In İzmir, Sarper Dikmen, the Zoning and Urban Planning Director of Menderes Municipality, was wounded in the leg during an armed attack.

According to DHA, the incident occurred in the morning hours on İnönü Boulevard. Menderes Municipality Zoning and Urban Planning Director Sarper Dikmen was subjected to an armed attack by an unidentified person or persons. Dikmen was wounded by a bullet that struck his leg.

Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams provided the first intervention to Dikmen at the scene.

Dikmen, who received initial treatment at the scene and is not in life-threatening condition, was taken to the hospital by medical teams.

The police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the suspect or suspects.
