'Menzil' trace in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan case! Striking confession from a police chief who took bribes!

A striking claim has emerged regarding the suspension of three high-level officials serving in the Ankara Police Department within the scope of allegations raised following the Ayhan Bora Kaplan investigation in Ankara.

According to a report by Toygun Atilla from Patronlar Dünyası, one of the three high-level officials, a police chief, met with one of the lawyers for the Ayhan Bora Kaplan criminal organization in İzmir in recent months. That police chief received 300 thousand dollars from the lawyer, whose clients he was conducting an operation against.

EXPLAINED IT WITH 'MENZIL'

According to the report, this police chief, who was suspended after an investigation into this incident—which was recorded by the National Intelligence Organization—stated during an administrative review that he had taken the bribe for the purpose of "helping the Menzil community." The police chief in question defended the bribe with the words, "I was collecting aid for Menzil. It was not a bribe; it was money taken for a charitable cause."

Within the scope of the preliminary investigation launched following the Ayhan Bora Kaplan investigation, three high-level police chiefs responsible for the Kaplan investigation were suspended in recent days. The suspended individuals were Deputy Ankara Police Chief Murat Çelik, Organized Crime Branch Manager Kerem Öner, and Branch Deputy Manager Şevket Demircan.

Following the suspension decision announced by the Ministry of Interior, the developments were reported in media outlets close to the government as an attempt by the relevant high-level police officials to stage a "conspiracy" against the AKP similar to the December 17-25 events.
