Meral Akşener's response on 'politics': An important question
Former İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener made statements to the press following an iftar program she attended.
Following her withdrawal from the active political scene, Akşener spoke about the discussions regarding her political future during an iftar program she attended. When faced with the question, "Does politics leave a person?" which is frequently asked in capital city political circles, Akşener's response, "I have left politics, I don't know about the rest," drew attention.
Akşener, who has maintained her silence for a long time, responded to the question posed by journalists regarding the political dynamics in the capital: "Does politics really leave a person in Ankara?"
IFTAR MEETING WITH YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS
Starting her remarks by providing information about the program she attended, Akşener stated that she met with young entrepreneurs. The first highlight from Akşener's statement was as follows:
"We had a very nice iftar this evening with our young entrepreneur businessmen and women. I learned very beautiful things, and now I am leaving."
"I HAVE LEFT POLITICS, I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE REST"
The most striking point of Akşener's assessment was her response to the question regarding how politics functions in the capital. Upon a journalist directly asking, "Does politics really leave a person in Ankara?" Akşener summarized the situation with these words:
"That is a very important question; I have left politics, I don't know about the rest."
