Merdan Yanardağ responds to Osman Gökçek, who targeted him! "You, who sang the praises of Fetullah Gülen..."

During a live broadcast on TELE1, certain allegations were made regarding the 'FETÖ' connections of Melih Gökçek's son, Osman Gökçek. Following this broadcast, Osman Gökçek targeted TELE1 Editor-in-Chief Merdan Yanardağ.

Merdan Yanardağ later replied, "Osman Gökçek, your knowledge, upbringing, background, and experience are not sufficient to debate with me. I am not one to belittle or look down on anyone, but do not dare to question our patriotism. In this country, the children of the counter-guerrilla, NATO, and America cannot question our patriotism."

Yanardağ also stated the following:

In a post on his X account, Osman Gökçek said, "Merdan Yanardağ, if you have the courage to go on screen and talk about me, you will come out and face me. A little while ago, I called Merdan Yanardağ on his mobile phone and told him that I wanted to shout to his face on screen that he called the terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan a philosopher and about this treachery of his, but he did not show the courage to connect me to the broadcast.
