As part of the investigationconducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into 'betting and match-fixing in football',Fenerbahçefootballer Mert Hakan Yandaş,who was taken into custody,was arrested and sent to the Marmara Prisonin Silivri.Inc.

A letter has arrived for Fenerbahçe fans from Mert Hakan Yandaş, who remains in detention. Denying the accusationsleveled against him,Yandaş wrote a letter that begins,"To my Fenerbahçe family and loved ones..."

Here is that letter:

"My dear Fenerbahçe Family and Loved Ones;

I am writingthese lines to you during one of the most difficultperiods of my life. Right now,my freedom is beingEven though I am far from myhome, my faith,my conscience, and my honor stand tall.

At the end of the legal processconducted regarding me, I believe that justice willreveal thetruth in the shortestpossible time. Isincerely believethat theywill reveal the truth.

I want you to know that; the accusationsleveledagainst menone ofthem reflect thetruth. I have not engaged in any action or behavior that would stain our glorious history or the name of Fenerbahçe, and let no one have anydoubt about this.I have fullfaith that the judicial authorities will reveal the truth.
