Message from Ekrem İmamoğlu to Sadettin Saran

Fenerbahçe congress members went to the polls yesterday for the presidential election at the extraordinary general assembly. The election, in which incumbent president Ali Koç and Sadettin Saran competed, was won by Saran. While Saran received 12,325 votes, Ali Koç remained at 12,068 votes. With this result, the 7-year Ali Koç era at Fenerbahçe has come to an end.

Congratulatory messages continue to arrive from the sports and political community for Saran, who was elected as the 38th president of Fenerbahçe. CHP's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who has been imprisoned in Silivri Prison since March 23, published a congratulatory message for Saran.

İmamoğlu's message is as follows:

"I congratulate Sadettin Saran, who has been elected President of Fenerbahçe Sports Club, and the new club management. I wish our Istanbul's distinguished club success in all branches."
