Message from Hüseyin Çelik to Numan Kurtulmuş: Oğuzhan Uğur recalls the 'solution process' and the 'Student Oath'
Former Minister of National Education Hüseyin Çelik reacted sharply to Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, who targeted Article 3 of the Constitution. Çelik stated, "He started a debate on Article 3. He was corrected! Then he backtracked!" Oğuzhan Uğur responded to Çelik on social media, reminding him of the "Student Oath" (Andımız) that was abolished in 2013.
Former Minister of National Education Hüseyin Çelik criticized Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş over his remarks targeting Article 3 of the Constitution. In a message shared on X, Çelik said the following:
'HE WAS CORRECTED!'
"The Turkish Grand National Assembly has never been this ineffective and powerless in any period. Mr. Kurtulmuş, who said everything imaginable about the AK Party and Mr. Erdoğan while he was the leader of the Has Party, betrayed his friends to join the AK Party and is now the Speaker of the Parliament! He started a debate on Article 3. He was corrected! Then he BACKTRACKED!"
'YOU ABOLISHED THE STUDENT OATH OVERNIGHT'
Reminding Çelik of the solution process and the "Student Oath," Oğuzhan Uğur said, "You are right. When you abolished the Student Oath, you hadn't prepared the ground at all; you just abolished it overnight."
Haklısınız. Siz Andımızı kaldırdığınızda hiç önden yolunu yapmamıştınız, küt diye kaldırmıştınız.

THE SOLUTION PROCESS AND THE STUDENT OATH
Regarding the Student Oath, the practice of which was ended in schools in Turkey in 2013, former Minister Hüseyin Çelik had said the following to MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli during his time as AKP Deputy Chairman:
"Mr. Bahçeli has complaints about the Student Oath. Does a Turkish child have to take an oath every morning? Does it harm their Turkishness if they don't? What is the point of lining children up every morning and making them take an oath? If Mr. Bahçeli does not want this oath to be forgotten, for example, he could recite it himself at every MHP group meeting and those present could repeat it."
'OUR PEOPLE SAY THEY SUPPORT IT,' HE HAD SAID
Stating that the solution process was supported across Turkey, Çelik had said, "Our people say they support the solution process. When you listen to Kılıçdaroğlu and Bahçeli, however, Turkey has collapsed. Which planet did you come from? Look around you. You are spreading pessimism like Chernobyl. The public has no appetite for such pessimism."
