Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu noted the birth of Maya, the daughter of imprisoned Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Head of Zoning and Urban Planning Department Ramazan Gülten, stating, "They did not allow Ramazan Gülten, who is currently in prison solely because he worked with me and did not surrender Istanbul to rent-seeking, to see his daughter's birth. But they could not prevent Maya from bringing happiness to everyone, both inside and outside."
In his statement, İmamoğlu used the following expressions:
"Welcome, Maya. They did not allow Ramazan Gülten, who is currently in prison solely because he worked with me and did not surrender Istanbul to rent-seeking, to see his daughter's birth.
But they could not prevent Maya from bringing happiness to everyone, both inside and outside.
I congratulate Ramazan and his wife Pınar. I wish Maya a long and healthy life with her mother and father."
