Message from Meriç Demir Kahraman about 'Tayfun Kahraman': 'Vera's first writings were letters stamped with "seen"'

Meriç Demir Kahraman, wife of imprisoned Gezi Park trial defendant and urban planner Tayfun Kahraman, shared a post on X following a closed visit in Silivri.

Meriç Demir Kahraman said the following:

"May 3, 2024, Silivri, 73rd closed visit: Warm greetings to everyone from Tayfun.

Our Vera is graduating in June from the daycare we rushed to start to shield her from this trauma. Tayfun has never been able to hold his daughter's hand on the way to school, or hold the back of her bike while she learned to ride. Vera's first writings were the letters she sent to her father, stamped with 'seen'..

We believe that this 2-year persecution we have endured without 2 lines of justification or 2 pieces of concrete evidence will come to an end as soon as possible."
