Messages sent to Seçil Erzan revealed! 'What happened to your fear of God?'

New details continue to emerge in the fraud case where former Denizbank branch manager Seçil Erzan allegedly collected money from footballers and businesspeople under the name of the 'Fatih Terim Fund' with promises of high returns.

Messages sent to Seçil Erzan on April 7 by former Galatasaray footballer Emre Çolak, former Galatasaray interpreter Musa Mert Çetin, and former footballer Ayhan Akman, who lost money in the multi-million dollar scheme, have been revealed.

According to the report by Sabah, the preliminary examination report on Erzan's seized mobile phone has been included in the case file.

"ARE YOU JOKING?"

It was determined that Emre Çolak, the third person to lose the most money to the fund with 3 million 200 thousand dollars after Arda Turan and Emre Belözoğlu, sent a message to Erzan on April 7 saying, "Ms. Seçil, I'm waiting, it's been 2 hours. Are you joking? Ms. Seçil?"

It was observed that Çolak also called Seçil Erzan via WhatsApp at 15:22 on the same day but could not reach her.

"YOU ARE MISSING AGAIN"

One of the victims who gave money to Seçil Erzan was Musa Mert Çetin, who was the interpreter for Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera—who lost 75 thousand dollars—and the team. It was determined that Çetin wrote to Erzan, "You are missing again, may God make our end good. He is waiting for 1, you know (referring to Muslera waiting for 1 million dollars). Don't tire me out if it's less, I won't go to his house anyway, he won't take me. The guy isn't answering my calls. I'm fed up, whatever happens, happens, I have no credit left to stop him."

"SEÇO, WHERE ARE YOU?"

Çetin also forwarded messages to Erzan that were assessed to be from Muslera regarding receiving his money from Erzan. In the message, it said, "I said I'm with you after iftar with the money. He said you'll see what happens if it's otherwise. Seçil, I'll come to you directly after I break my fast. Seço, where are you, your phone is off? How can you do this to us? What happened to your fear of God?" It was also determined that Çetin called Erzan at 15:03, but the call went unanswered.

"I WILL ASK ABOUT THIS NOW"

Messages from Ayhan Akman, whom Erzan stated in her testimony, "I have no debt to Ayhan Akman. On the contrary, I was owed a large amount by him," were also included in the file.

It was observed that Akman said on Friday, April 7, "I will ask about this matter now, just so you know," and that Erzan did not respond to this message. It was also seen that Akman sent another message 3 days later, on April 10, the date Erzan was taken into custody, saying, "Are you thinking of calling me?" but received no answer to that either.

According to the preliminary examination report of the mobile phone, it was emphasized that the majority of Erzan's WhatsApp conversations were deleted, and in the conversations that did take place, Erzan generally asked for time from the people she received money from and stalled them. It was highlighted that she often did not respond to messages and calls from the other party.
