Meteorology issues warning: Heavy rain and storms are coming
Downpours are expected across the country, from Edirne to Erzurum. Strong winds and storms will be effective in some regions. Fog will be seen in the Marmara and Black Sea regions, while dust transport will occur in the East.
According to meteorological data, rainy weather will prevail in many cities across the country today. Showers and thunderstorms will be seen in the surroundings of Edirne, Tekirdağ, Kırklareli, Sakarya, and the eastern parts of Bilecik.
According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology; the country overall is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms expected in the Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, and Southeastern Anatolia regions, as well as the surroundings of Edirne, Tekirdağ, Kırklareli, Sakarya, and the eastern parts of Bilecik.
The precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in Denizli, Isparta, Burdur, the interior and eastern parts of Antalya, the west of Kahramanmaraş, the north of Osmaniye and Adana, the south of Erzurum, the north of Muş and Bingöl, and the east of Tunceli.
The wind is expected to blow strongly from southern directions (40-60 km/h) in the northeast of Central Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia, the east of Southeastern Anatolia, and the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea, and as a storm (60-90 km/h) in the southeast of Eastern Anatolia.
Haze and fog will be effective on the coasts of Marmara and the Black Sea during the morning and night hours. Dust transport will be seen in the southeast of Eastern Anatolia.
