Meteorology issues warning: Regions expecting downpours and strong winds identified

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology, partly to very cloudy weather will be effective in the northern and western parts of Turkey. Downpours and thunderstorms are expected in the southern and eastern parts of the Inner Aegean, the inner and high parts of the Mediterranean, the inner parts of the western Western Black Sea, the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, and the northeast of Eastern Anatolia.

According to the forecasts, local precipitation may also be seen in Thrace, the Western and Eastern Black Sea, as well as the inner parts of the Aegean and the high parts of the Taurus Mountains. In other regions, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly sunny.

Air temperatures are expected to continue to hover 2 to 4 degrees above seasonal norms across the country. The wind is expected to blow generally from the north, and from the southwest in the southeastern parts of the country, light to occasionally moderate.

BEWARE OF STRONG WINDS

Meteorology reported that strong winds are expected locally from the north and northeast in the southwest of Marmara and the North Aegean, and from the west and southwest in the north of Southeastern Anatolia and the west of Eastern Anatolia. It was stated that wind speeds could reach the 40-60 kilometers/hour range, and citizens were urged to be careful and take precautions against potential negative consequences.
