Metrobus accident in Istanbul: Driver loses his life
In Beylikdüzü, a metrobus driver whose vehicle had broken down was struck by another metrobus coming from the opposite direction while he had stepped out to check his vehicle. The injured driver was taken to the hospital following the incident. Eyüp Maytalman, who was hospitalized, could not be saved despite all interventions and passed away.
The incident occurred in the evening hours in the Haramidere area. According to allegations, the metrobus driven by Eyüp Maytalman, which was traveling in the direction of Büyükçekmece, broke down in Haramidere.
The driver, Eyüp Maytalman, who stepped out to check the vehicle, was struck by a metrobus with license plate 34 TN 2788, driven by a driver identified as H.A., which was coming from the opposite direction.
While Eyüp Maytalman was injured in the accident, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification.
The injured driver was taken to Beylikdüzü State Hospital by ambulance after receiving initial medical intervention.
Eyüp Maytalman, who was hospitalized, could not be saved despite all interventions and passed away.
The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
