METU faculty members hold solidarity march for Eğitim Sen
METU faculty members organized a march to protest the investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the education union Eğitim Sen. Students also participated in the march to show their support.
Reactions continue against the investigation launched into the Central Executive Board of the education union Eğitim Sen, which held a work stoppage on Tuesday to support the protests that began following operations targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB). METU faculty members organized a march to protest the investigation initiated against Eğitim Sen.

Students also supported the march of the faculty members, who gathered in front of the physics department for a press statement to be held by the Middle East Technical University Faculty Members Association (OED) on the physics stairs.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Protests had begun on campuses and in the streets following operations targeting Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, İBB employees, and CHP mayors.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had announced that an investigation had been launched into the Central Executive Board of Eğitim Sen, which had announced its decision to 'not provide services' on Tuesday.
