MHP figure reacts to IYI Party's 'Flag Rally': Empty slogans
While the 'Flag Rally' held by the IYI Party in Tandoğan took place with high citizen participation, a notable reaction to the rally came from MHP's Eyyüp Yıldız.
IYI Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu used striking language during the rally he held, criticizing the steps taken regarding PKK terrorist organization leader Öcalan and also harshly criticizing the government.
Eyyüp Yıldız, from the People's Alliance partner MHP, attacked the statements made by Dervişoğlu at the rally with harsh words in a statement he made via his social media account.
Reacting on social media to the "Flag Rally" organized by the IYI Party at Ankara's Tandoğan Square and to those opposing the process currently being carried out, Eyyüp Yıldız addressed the crowd with the words, "The road to Qandil is open, go ahead."
Making an assessment on the subject via his X account, Yıldız argued that the slogans chanted in the squares would not be able to stop society's will for a "Terror-Free Turkey." In his criticism, which alluded to the IYI Party's rally, Yıldız used the following expressions:
"Instead of gathering in Tandoğan and opposing the Terror-Free Turkey process, the road to Qandil is open; go ahead, if you can make those in Qandil lay down their arms, then do so; if you can end terrorism, then end it. You could even hold a rally in Qandil. But know this: you cannot stop this nation's will for a Terror-Free Turkey with empty slogans rising from the squares."
