Feti Yıldız, MHP Deputy Chairman in charge of Legal and Election Affairs and Istanbul MP, defended the 'influence agent' law, which is frequently debated in public, stating that those who oppose the law "turn into a devil that has heard the Basmala when they hear the term 'influence agent'."

"THEY TURN INTO A DEVIL THAT HAS HEARD THE BASMALA"
Yıldız stated the following:
"All of the converts, the turncoats, the crypto-FETÖ members, the mandate-seekers, the separatists, the regionalists, the Marxists, the frauds, the charlatans, the political weathercocks, and all enemies of Turkish-Islam who slander the Nationalist Movement Party and the Turkish State from behind screens and keyboards are opposing the 'influence agent' regulation without exception.
These types, who use their journalistic credentials, academic profession, or activist identity in line with operational goals, turn into a devil that has heard the Basmala when they hear the term 'influence agent'."

MHP'S YILDIZ HAD CRITICIZED VIA 'GRANTS'
Previously responding to critics of the regulation on his social media account, MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız pointed out that those who receive "grants" from abroad and act as "influence agents" would be included under the scope of the crime, stating the following:
"We certainly do not expect any 'grant-eating' individual or institution that receives grants from abroad, acts as an influence agent in return, and looks out for the interests of a foreign power to support this legislative proposal or make statements in line with national interests."
