Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman and Kayseri MP İsmail Özdemir stated, "We are diligently continuing our work regarding SCT incentives."
In a post on his social media account,Özdemir stated, "With our legislative proposal submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), which envisions the replacement of vehicles registeredbefore the year 2000withdomestically produced vehicles, we aim to strengthen traffic safety, and environmentally friendly vehiclesby encouraging their use and promoting their widespread adoption, we have set our goals to make a positivecontributionto economic developments.
While we are aware that some public institutions have a positiveopinionregarding the proposal, that it would cause a loss in SCT revenueIt must be stated that concerns regarding this would be an unfounded approach.
Because there is no lossthat would occur with the provision of the SCT incentive. On the contrary, if the law isenacted, due to the high increase inMotor Vehicle Tax (MTV)revenues, the budgetit will also contribute positivelyto our budget.
In thisregard, in the year 2026withinthe scope of the bill we proposed,if it is enacted, it will providemore than 45 billion liras in additional resources to our centralwill be ensured. Moreover, with the revitalization of the domestic market, the automotive sector andother related fields will also be able to create additional employment.
In line with the needsand expectations of our citizens, we hope that our legislative proposalwill be accepted andenterinto force. We are diligentlycontinuing ourefforts," he said.
