MHP's İzzet Ulvi Yönter posts 'not long now' regarding Sedat Peker

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman İzzet Ulvi Yönter shared a photo on his social media account with Sedat Peker, the leader of an organized crime group who is wanted via a red notice.

Yönter captioned his post, "Not long now. Who walked in this fight, who turned back. It won't be long before our legend is read."

This post and these words raised the question, "Is Sedat Peker returning to Turkey?"

Yönter, who has made posts about Sedat Peker in the past, had previously shared a video of Peker taken by the seaside with the words, "Everything has its time... Greetings to those waiting for the appointed time... God is enough, everything else is a fleeting desire..."

Sedat Peker's lawyer, Ersan Barkın, spoke about the possibility of his client's return to Turkey during a television program he recently attended.

Barkın had stated, "There is a red notice decision issued against him in two separate files. For this reason, it is not possible for him to return to Turkey or move to another place from the country where he is located. Such a step cannot be taken until the legal obstacles are removed. It is certain that a return is not possible in the near future. Because his cases are still ongoing."
