MHP's Semih Yalçın to TÜSİAD: 'We will not allow you to play at issuing memorandums'

MHP Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın has joined the debate that began following TÜSİAD's criticisms of the government. Yalçın issued a written statement regarding the investigations launched after the remarks made by TÜSİAD executives. 

Yalçın used the following expressions:

"Instead of focusing on the issues of Turkish industry and the business world, TÜSİAD must stop sticking its nose into political affairs. We ask the politically curious executives of TÜSİAD: Did you produce tanks, artillery, or rifles for the security and well-being of Turkey? Did you build aircraft? Did you invest in the fields of artificial intelligence, nuclear energy, and space technologies and encourage the youth?

What initiatives have you taken from your own perspective to ensure the welfare of the people and minimize poverty? Other than meddling in affairs that are none of your business, what have you given to this state, to this country? Have you given back to the public what you have fleeced from them, that you see yourselves as having the right to establish tutelage over politics and the government time and again? We want it to be known that as the MHP and the People's Alliance, we will not allow TÜSİAD to play at issuing memorandums and trying to calibrate politics."

Claiming that a segment led by the CHP has been trying to create artificial agendas in Turkey for some time, Yalçın included the following statements in his remarks:

"We will not remain spectators to the CHP, which speaks of the rule of law while competing with criminal organizations in violating it, manipulating public opinion. Furthermore, we do not approve of inferring things that were not said from what was said, or attempting to turn constructive comments in politics into opportunities. We will leave the hopes of those who strive to establish a new solution process under the guise of peace and brotherhood, and those who dream of democratic autonomy, unfulfilled."
