MHP's Yalçın hits out at Bülent Arınç: 'He is shooting himself in the foot' and calls him a 'political fossil'
MHP Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın has harshly criticized AKP founder and former Parliament Speaker Bülent Arınç.
Yalçın harshly criticized former Parliament Speaker and AKP founder Bülent Arınç. Using the term "political fossil" for Arınç, Yalçın referred to his recent statements, saying, "Arınç is sending messages to the wrong address regarding those dismissed by decree-laws (KHK). He is not only barking up the wrong tree, but he is also shooting himself in the foot."
MHP's Yalçın stated, "Political fossil Bülent Arınç is doing his best to ensure he is not forgotten and to remain in the display hall of the museum of politics."
In a post on his social media account, Yalçın referred to Arınç's recent statements regarding those dismissed from their jobs by decree-laws (KHK) following the July 15 coup attempt, saying, "So, who are these people dismissed by decree-laws for whom Bülent Arınç is acting as an advocate? They are individuals who were dismissed from public service or worked in closed-down institutions due to their affiliation, connection, or membership with terrorist organizations."
The full text of Yalçın's statement is as follows:
"WHAT IS THE PROBLEM OF FOSSIL POLITICIAN BÜLENT ARINÇ?
Political fossil Bülent Arınç is doing his best to ensure he is not forgotten and to remain in the display hall of the museum of politics.
Former Parliament Speaker Arınç is trying to stay on the agenda by harvesting poisonous flowers from fields sown with criminal records and producing medicinal extracts for sick bodies.
At the same time, he is trying to pay back the political(!) gains he obtained during the days when he acted as a courier and intermediary for FETÖ.
Arınç is sending messages to the wrong address regarding those dismissed by decree-laws. He is not only barking up the wrong tree, but he is also shooting himself in the foot. Who knows, perhaps he is paving the way for certain moves.
So, who are these people dismissed by decree-laws for whom Bülent Arınç is acting as an advocate? They are individuals who were dismissed from public service or worked in closed-down institutions due to their affiliation, connection, or membership with terrorist organizations.
What more is there to say!"
WHAT HAPPENED?
AKP founder and former Parliament Speaker Bülent Arınç had made evaluations regarding the resolution process in a program he attended recently. Stating that some people dismissed by decree-laws after the July 15 coup attempt remained unemployed and were seeking restoration of their reputation, he said, "Those who are chasing status for Apo today should handle this first."
Arınç also stated that there were approximately 130 thousand applications to the State of Emergency (OHAL) Commission via decree-laws, that he followed the process because there were victims in his own family, and that 9 thousand applications were accepted as a result of the process.
