Military ammunition found on the beach destroyed
Military ammunition found on the beach in the Bafra district of Samsun was destroyed in a controlled manner under extensive security measures taken by Coast Guard teams.
The incident occurred on the beach in the Fener neighborhood of Bafra district. According to the information obtained, citizens who noticed a suspicious object on the beach reported the situation to the neighborhood headman.
Upon the report, gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. The teams established a security perimeter around the area where the object was located and prevented citizens from entering the zone.
Examinations revealed that the suspicious object was military ammunition.
Following this, Coast Guard teams arrived at the scene and, after taking the necessary safety precautions, destroyed the ammunition by detonating it in a controlled manner.
It was learned that there was no loss of life or property in the incident, and the area was reopened for public use after the destruction process was completed.
