Military helicopter crashes in Urla, İzmir
Reports indicate that a military helicopter has crashed in the Urla district of İzmir, and numerous teams have been dispatched to the area.
A military helicopter that took off from the 2nd Main Jet Base in İzmir Çiğli made an emergency landing on vacant land in the village of Bademler in the Urla district. Authorities announced that one personnel member was injured in the incident. It was stated that the reason for the helicopter's emergency landing was a technical malfunction.
STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEFENSE
In a statement regarding the incident, the Ministry of National Defense noted that the personnel injured during the helicopter's emergency landing have been taken under treatment, and included the following remarks:
"One of our helicopters, which took off from the 2nd Main Jet Base Command (Çiğli/İzmir), was forced to make an emergency landing due to a technical malfunction. Damage has occurred to our helicopter. One of our personnel who was injured in the incident has been transferred to a hospital and their treatment has begun. An investigation into the incident has been initiated."
