Mine collapse in Soma! 1 worker lost his life
35-year-old Adem Balta lost his life in a collapse that occurred at a private mine in the Soma district of Manisa. One other worker was slightly injured.
The incident occurred yesterday at around 04:30 at a private mine operating in the Eynez neighborhood of Soma district. A collapse occurred during support replacement and excavation work at the 260th meter of the mine's P2 panel.
Adem Balta and A.O.K. were injured in the collapse. The injured were taken to Soma State Hospital.
Despite all efforts by doctors, Adem Balta lost his life. A.O.K. was discharged after receiving treatment at the hospital.
