Mine collapse in Zonguldak: 1 worker rescued from under the rubble
One of the 3 workers trapped in a collapse at a private mine in the Kilimli district of Zonguldak has been rescued with injuries. Efforts to reach the other workers are ongoing.
A collapse occurred for reasons yet to be determined at a mine belonging to a private company in the Gelik town of Zonguldak's Kilimli district.
Three workers who were in the mine at the time of the collapse became trapped. Upon notification of the situation, AFAD, TTK Rescue, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region.
During the rescue operations carried out by the teams, one of the workers was extracted from where they were found with injuries.
The worker was placed on a stretcher, taken to an ambulance, and transported to the hospital for treatment.
While teams continue their efforts to reach the other workers trapped in the collapse, the relatives of the workers who arrived at the scene are anxiously following the rescue operations.
