Minguzzi family to meet with Pope Leo XIV
As part of his visit to Turkey, Pope Leo XIV will meet with the family of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was brutally stabbed to death in Kadıköy.
Vatican Head of State Pope Leo XIV attended a ceremony in the İznik district of Bursa today, marking the 1700th anniversary of the First Council of Nicaea, following his visits to Ankara and Istanbul.
WILL MEET WITH THE MINGUZZI FAMILY ON SUNDAY
It has been learned that the Pope will meet with the family of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was brutally stabbed to death in Kadıköy.
Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi's mother, Yasemin Minguzzi, announced the "high-level private" meeting in a post on her social media account.
Yasemin Minguzzi's post is as follows:
"It has been communicated to us that, as part of the official visit of the spiritual leader of the Catholic world and Vatican Head of State Pope Leo XIV to the Republic of Turkey, a private audience will be granted to us on Sunday, and that this audience is a high-level private meeting included in the official program of the visit."
