Minibus carrying teachers crashes: 12 teachers injured

In Kars, a minibus carrying teachers collided with a car. 12 teachers were injured in the accident, one of them critically.

The minibus with license plate 36 M 0083, driven by Süleyman Tut and carrying teachers, rear-ended a car with license plate 36 SB 254, driven by teacher Adem Yıldız, at the entrance to Tekneli village.

The car driver, teacher Yıldız, and teachers in the minibus identified as N.A, M.T, M.E, A.Ç, M.K, F.U, B.Ç, E.Z.Y, B.K, E.K, and M.C were injured in the accident.

Upon notification, health, fire, police, gendarmerie, and Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) teams were dispatched to the scene.

The injured teachers were taken to Kars Harakani State Hospital and the Kafkas University Health Research and Application Center.

It was learned that the car driver, Adem Yıldız, is in critical condition.

Provincial Director of National Education Nevzat Kaya wished the teachers a speedy recovery and said, "A minibus carrying 15 of our teachers working in 2 schools in Digor and a vehicle driven by our teacher who was going to school in his private car were involved in an accident. The general condition of our teachers is good; one of our colleagues is in critical condition, and their check-ups are being performed; we are monitoring their condition."
