Minimum Attorney Fee Schedule General Provisions published in the Official Gazette
The Union of Turkish Bar Associations' new fee schedule has been published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, the fees to be paid to attorneys have been increased by 36.15 percent.
The communiqué regarding the 'Minimum Attorney Fee Schedule' by the Presidency of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations has been published in the Official Gazette.
According to the communiqué published in the Official Gazette, the minimum fee to be paid by public institutions and organizations, as well as private and legal entities, to their contract attorneys has been set at 33,000 Turkish Lira. Litigation fees will range between 9,000 and 120,000 Turkish Lira. The fee for verbal consultation at an attorney's office has been set at 4,000 Turkish Lira for the first hour and 1,800 Turkish Lira for each subsequent hour, while the fee for verbal consultation at a location visited upon request for up to one hour has been set at 7,000 Turkish Lira.
According to this communiqué, attorneys will be paid 8,000 Turkish Lira for the preparation of lease agreements and similar contracts, and 32,000 Turkish Lira for the preparation of documents such as statutes, regulations, inheritance agreements, and wills.
