Minimum wage statement from Minister Işıkhan: We have started early
The first statement regarding the 2025 minimum wage has come from Minister of Labor and Social Security Işıkhan.
Minister of Labor and Social Security Işıkhan stated regarding the minimum wage, "We aim to determine the minimum wage at a point that will provide maximum benefit after the Minimum Wage Determination Commission makes the final decision."
"We have started the minimum wage process early. As our President frequently expresses, we are providing policies to raise the living standards of citizens. As a ministry, we are continuing our work. As the government, this is not a matter we decide on our own. We will start the process with worker and employer representatives at the beginning of December," he said.

EMPHASIS ON 'MAXIMUM BENEFIT'
Stating that "They are bringing the rates that will comprehensively meet the demands of the workforce to the agenda by consulting together," Işıkhan used the following expressions:

"We aim to determine the minimum wage at a point that will provide maximum benefit after the Minimum Wage Determination Commission makes the final decision. We have increased the minimum wage nominally by 90 times. We are providing support regarding the minimum wage; we have increased it to 700 liras, this figure is very important."
