Minister Bolat breaks CHP's boycott by purchasing 'pro-Israel' product: It wasn't even domestic or national
Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat had criticized citizens supporting the boycott, whom he labeled as a 'fringe minority,' during a live broadcast and invited everyone to go shopping. Bolat, who went shopping himself, faced backlash after it was revealed that one of the items he bought to break the boycott was a 'pro-Israel' product.
Bolat shared photos from the shopping trip he took to break the boycott call initiated by citizens.
Journalist Metin Cihan, who examined the photo shared by Bolat, revealed that the product purchased was not 'domestic' and is on the boycott list prepared in support of Palestine.
Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat shared photos of himself shopping on his social media account in response to the consumption boycott call, stating, “We visited tradespeople to show our solidarity against the calls made by some opposition segments intended to harm our country, our trade, our tradespeople, and our producers.”
Journalist Metin Cihan revealed in a post on social media that the product Minister Bolat purchased was not 'domestic' and is on the boycott list prepared in support of Palestine.
Cihan's post is as follows:
“Look at the shamelessness.
I looked at the product he bought. İçimino. It is produced by Ak Gıda. This company is the country's largest milk producer but has been sold to the French company Lactalis. He is trying to pass it off as domestic and national.
It doesn't end there.
Lactalis supports Israel and is being boycotted by friends of Palestine.”

Bitmedi.
