Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler visited the soldiers who were poisoned by methane gas in the Operation Claw-Lock region, were transferred to Ankara, and are continuing their treatment at the Gülhane Training and Research Hospital (GATA).

The following statement was made by the Ministry of National Defense:
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler visited our heroic Mehmetçiks who were poisoned by methane gas in the Operation Claw-Lock region, were transferred to Ankara, and are continuing their treatment at the Gülhane Training and Research Hospital (GATA).
Minister Yaşar Güler was accompanied during the visit by Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak, Commander of the Naval Forces Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, Commander of the Land Forces General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, Commander of the Air Forces General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, and Deputy Minister Musa Heybet.

Minister Yaşar Güler and the accompanying commanders took a close interest in our Mehmetçiks and received information from the doctors about the health status of our personnel.

Minister Yaşar Güler also spoke with the families of our personnel receiving treatment at the hospital and conveyed his best wishes for their recovery.
