Minister Gürlek shares update on rehabilitation efforts in prisons: With our human-centered approach
In a post on his social media account, Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that they are further strengthening the rehabilitative aspect of the penal system in the fight against drug and substance addiction.
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek shared a post on his social media account regarding the rehabilitation efforts being carried out in penal institutions as part of the fight against drug and substance addiction.
"We are further strengthening the rehabilitative aspect of our penal system in the fight against drug and substance addiction," Gürlek stated, adding the following:
"In our penal institutions, we support convicts in acquiring healthy life skills, reinforcing their sense of responsibility, and successfully reintegrating them into society through medical and psychiatric services, psychosocial support efforts, individual interviews and structured group work, family support services, vocational training courses, sports, artistic and cultural activities, regular reading programs, hydroponic farming practices, and production workshops. We continue our work in this area with determination through our human-centered approach."
