Minister Işıkhan gives the green light to 'remote and flexible working models': 'We must adapt'

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan met with young people and answered their questions at the 'İŞKUR My Companion: A Journey to Tomorrow with Youth Program', organized within the scope of the Turkish Employment Agency's (İŞKUR) Labor Market Support Program for Youth Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET PRO).

"WE MUST ADAPT TO CHANGE"

Stating that the structure, nature, and working models of jobs have begun to change, Minister Işıkhan said the following:

"Models we call remote work and flexible work have started to come to the agenda. This has both pros and cons. Our General Directorate of Labor is carrying out the legislative arrangements on this matter.

I believe that when you enter working life, your social skills need to be very good. Work continues after the Covid-19 pandemic. Remote work, flexible work, and secure flexible working models are still more important for us.

If the nature of work and the way of working are changing, we must also adapt to this change. In 10 years, we will be faced with different jobs and working models that you cannot even imagine today."
