Minister Işıkhan's statement on the newborn scandal: Payments have been suspended

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan was a guest at the Anadolu Agency Editor's Desk, where he made important statements regarding the "newborn gang" investigation. 

Speaking about the scandal that has shaken the agenda, Minister Işıkhan stated that the Ministry of Health has intervened and that the licenses of the private hospitals mentioned in the investigation have been revoked.

PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED

Minister Işıkhan announced that following the Ministry of Health's license revocation decision, payments made to the private hospitals in question have also been suspended. 

Işıkhan said, "We are collecting the payments made to these hospitals retroactively, along with interest and the penalties within the scope of the contract." He also emphasized that the fight against abuses in the healthcare sector will continue.

HOSPITALS NAMED IN THE SCANDAL WERE CLOSED

Authorities, taking action after the illegal operations involving newborn babies were uncovered, decided to close the hospitals involved in this scandal by revoking their licenses. 

Minister Işıkhan stated that as a result of the investigations, they have taken serious measures to ensure that such crimes do not recur in the healthcare sector.
