Minister Koca makes statement on chain-reaction traffic accident in Sakarya: 10 people lost their lives
A chain-reaction traffic accident occurred this morning on the Northern Marmara Motorway in Sakarya. 10 people lost their lives and 59 were injured in the accident. Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca made a statement regarding the incident.
Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, in his statement regarding the accident, said, "In the chain-reaction traffic accident that occurred this morning at 04:36 at the Tekeler location on the Sakarya Northern Marmara Motorway, 10 people lost their lives at the scene, and 59 people, 8 of whom are in serious condition, were injured. The injured were transported to hospitals by 30 ambulances. We wish God's mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives and offer our condolences to their relatives. Everything necessary is being done for the recovery of the injured whose treatments are ongoing."

The accident occurred around 04:36 at the Tekeler location on the Sakarya section of the Northern Marmara Motorway. The chain-reaction accident involved 3 buses, 2 trucks, and 2 cars.
The injured were taken to surrounding hospitals by 30 ambulances dispatched to the region.
