In his speech, Minister Tekin drew attention to the importance of guiding students toward fields suitable for their interests, talents, and skills.

Stating that guidance efforts in educational processes need to be strengthened, Tekin expressed that vocational guidance tests will contribute to students' career planning. Minister Tekin noted that this practice will allow students to better understand themselves and help them manage their preference processes in their educational lives more effectively. Within the scope of the meeting, information was also provided regarding the scope, implementation process, and goals of the vocational guidance tests. Furthermore, it was emphasized during the program that these tests will improve students' individual competencies in addition to their academic success.

"Vocational and technical education in Turkey suffered a very serious blow, especially with the February 28 process"

Stating that vocational and technical education has been on the rise with the momentum it gained after 2010, Minister Tekin said, "Vocational and technical education in Turkey suffered a very serious blow, especially with the February 28 process. We all went through a period of trauma in vocational and technical education. A period of revival began in vocational and technical education starting from 2010. Especially with the abolition of the coefficient practice, there was a renewed orientation toward vocational and technical education. We have completely revised our schools providing vocational and technical education. We renewed the programs and fields. We established their relationship with the sector by developing new school models and project school models. We expanded the practical training of our children in schools for on-the-job training. While doing this, we started a pocket money practice for our children at the rate of 30 percent and 50 percent of the minimum wage. We provided insurance for our children against work accidents and occupational diseases to protect them against the risks faced by those who go to businesses for skills training," he said.

"Together, we will have taken a much stronger step in the process with these tests"

Expressing that vocational guidance tests will offer many opportunities to young people, Minister Tekin said, "Together, we will have taken a much stronger and much healthier step in the process with these tests that we are introducing today. Because what we are doing is also supported by other public institutions. Their awareness of what we are doing, and our performance of tasks that will form the basis for what they want to do, will increase the productivity of our work and ensure that we reach healthy results," he stated.
