Minister Tunç makes statement regarding the murder of Public Prosecutor Kayhan
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç has made a statement regarding the murder of Public Prosecutor Ercan Kayhan, who served at the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
In a post on his social media account, Minister Tunç stated, "The death of Public Prosecutor Ercan Kayhan, who served at the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, following a knife attack at a business in the Ömerli neighborhood of Çekmeköy district, has deeply saddened us all.
I wish God's mercy upon our Public Prosecutor; I extend my condolences and patience to his family, loved ones, and our judicial community.
The assailant has been taken into custody, and the judicial investigation initiated by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident is being conducted in a multifaceted manner."
